Peoples State Bank is a community bank that has been serving the Lake Livingston Area since 1921. In January 1986 the bank was purchased by AmTex Bancshares, Inc., a bank holding company located in Orange, Texas. Peoples State Bank’s main location is headquartered in Shepherd, with branch location in Coldspring and Livingston. The mission of the Bank is to remain in a safe and sound condition, while providing its customers with the quality of service they expect and deserve. Each director, officer, and employee is involved in various activities in its communities and is dedicated to giving back to the community it serves.
